Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in schools in Sheffield.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in the classroom, assisting students with their learning, and helping to create an engaging and inclusive environment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and committed to making a positive impact on students’ academic and personal development.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
- Assist students with their learning, including those with additional needs
- Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Prepare classroom resources and assist with lesson planning where required
- Support students' social, emotional, and academic development
- Encourage positive participation and engagement in class activities
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements to be a Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or with children in a school or similar setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring, patient, and supportive approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Good organisational and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a classroom environment
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
