Teaching Assistant – Spilsby, Lincolnshire
Primary, Secondary & SEN Schools | Flexible Opportunities | Full-Time & Part-Time Available
GSL Education are currently seeking Teaching Assistants based in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, to support a range of schools across the local area and surrounding towns including Boston, Skegness, Louth, and Horncastle.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience or further develop their career within education while making a positive impact on students across Primary, Secondary, and SEN settings.
Candidates should live in or near Spilsby and be willing to travel to nearby areas for work opportunities.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students within the classroom on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The role may involve:
- Supporting pupils with varying learning abilities and additional needs
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Encouraging student participation, confidence, and independence
- Providing emotional and behavioural support where required
- Working closely with SEN students to help meet individual learning targets
- Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting across Primary, Secondary, and SEN school settings
This role offers a varied working environment with opportunities to build experience across different age groups and educational needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in schools, care, support work, or similar settings is preferred
- Relevant qualifications or degrees are advantageous
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas including Boston, Skegness, Louth, and Horncastle
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
