Autism Support Teaching Assistant (ASC)
Location: Market Weighton
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist setting in Market Weighton.

This inclusive provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs, with a strong focus on Autism and communication support. Staff work collaboratively to create a structured and nurturing environment where pupils feel supported and engaged.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Autism
- Support communication and social interaction
- Assist pupils in accessing classroom activities
- Implement structured routines and support strategies
- Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
Requirements
- Experience supporting pupils with ASC preferred
- Patient and consistent approach
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
