Job Title: Psychology Graduate TA
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay rate: £95–£120 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting?
GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who are interested in education, mental health, or pursuing a career in psychology, counselling, or teaching.
As a Psychology Graduate TA, you will support students in the classroom, particularly those who may need additional emotional or behavioural support. You will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to help students stay engaged and make progress. The successful candidate will be patient, empathetic, and eager to learn.
Core Responsibilities of Psychology graduate TA:
- Support students in lessons as a Teaching Assistant
- Work with students on a one-to-one and small group basis
- Assist students with additional needs, including SEMH and SEN
- Help promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing and confidence
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and preparation
- Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment
Requirements of Psychology Graduate TA:
- A degree in Psychology
- Interest in education, mental health, or child development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, caring, and proactive attitude
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years (with any gaps explained)
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply
