Job Title: Trauma Informed Practitioner
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay rate: £95–£110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Support vulnerable pupils by applying trauma-informed approaches to promote wellbeing, resilience, and engagement in education!

GSL Education are currently recruiting a compassionate and skilled Trauma Informed Practitioner to work in schools across Wolverhampton.

As a Trauma Informed Practitioner, you will work closely with pupils who have experienced adversity, helping them regulate emotions, build trust, and re-engage with learning in a safe and supportive environment.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to pupils with trauma-related needs.
  • Implement trauma-informed strategies and interventions.
  • Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
  • Contribute to individual support plans and safeguarding practices.

Requirements of Trauma Informed Practitioner:

  • Experience working with children or young people with trauma, SEMH, or behavioural needs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and de-escalation techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
