SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: York area
Pay Rate: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Part Time and Full Time available
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in the York area with an immediate start available.

This specialist setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs. The school provides a structured, nurturing and well-supported environment where staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive personalised learning and pastoral care. Small class sizes allow for tailored support and meaningful progress.
Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support

Support pupils working towards EHCP targets

Adapt classroom activities to meet individual needs

Assist the class teacher with planning and preparation

Promote engagement and independence
Requirements

Experience supporting children with SEN
-
Patient and supportive approach

Strong communication skills
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
