Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Sheffield (S5, S9)
Pay rate: £460-£650 per week (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate/ January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are recruiting a dependable Cover Supervisor to assist schools in Sheffield, supporting learners across the S5 and S9 postcode areas during teacher absence.
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain a focused learning environment, and keep students on task. This role suits someone who enjoys working with young people and adapts easily to different classrooms.
Key Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver lesson instructions clearly using provided resources.
- Maintain positive behaviour and classroom routines.
- Support students with their learning and encourage engagement.
- Report back on student progress and behaviour as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to remain calm and adaptable in varied situations.
- A professional and responsible approach to safeguarding.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
