Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant - Fareham, Hampshire

GSL Education are seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Fareham. This full-time role offers a rewarding opportunity to work in the school’s resource base, supporting students with Autism and Learning Difficulties. The position starts ASAP or January 2026, with the potential for a permanent contract following a successful probation period.
Your responsibilities as SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) will include:
- Providing tailored assistance to students with Autism and Learning Difficulties.
- Assisting teachers with lessons and classroom activities.
- Delivering focused support to individual students to help them overcome barriers to learning.
- Adapting to the needs of students and the school environment.
- GSL Education offers training and ongoing support to help you succeed.
What We’re Looking for in a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
- You may have worked in a similar role or come from a care background supporting children with SEN.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different communication and support strategies.
- Able to manage tasks and keep track of student progress.
- Dependable and able to work independently.
- Any relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN are an advantage.
