Job Title: Sports Coach
Location: Sheffield, S4
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Coach with a passion for inspiring young people to stay active and healthy?

GSL Education are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join a welcoming school in Sheffield, providing support to pupils of all ages with diverse learning needs, including SEMH, autism, MLD, and PMLD, within SEN settings.

As a Sports Coach, you will encourage participation, develop skills, and foster a positive sporting environment that promotes teamwork, resilience, and confidence. This role may involve working with both primary and secondary-aged pupils, adapting your coaching to meet a variety of needs and abilities.

Responsibilities as a Sports Coach:

  • Deliver high-quality PE and sports sessions in line with school programmes.
  • Plan and adapt activities to cater for varying skill levels and abilities.
  • Promote health, fitness, and wellbeing through active participation.
  • Support pupils in developing skills such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  • Assist with extra-curricular sports clubs and school events.

Requirements for Sports Coach:

  • Experience coaching or teaching sports, ideally with young people in an educational setting.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications or a strong sporting background.
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills.
  • A proactive, energetic, and supportive approach to working with pupils.
  • An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps in the last 10 years.
