Job Title: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Hope, S33
Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in a supportive school in Hope, S33. This role involves working closely with pupils who may present challenging behaviours, helping them overcome barriers to learning, and supporting them in achieving both academic and personal success.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural or emotional needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage positive choices.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents/carers.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements for the Behaviour Mentor:
- Previous experience in a similar role or working with young people with additional needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and use de-escalation techniques effectively.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps in the last 10 years.
