MFL Teacher – Secondary School – Southampton, Hampshire

GSL Education are seeking a committed full-time Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Southampton from September 2025 or after the October 2025 half term.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons, foster a love of languages, and help students achieve their full potential. The school welcomes applications from both Early Career Teachers and experienced educators. Interviews are to take place at the end of August 2025/early September 2025.
Role Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in modern foreign languages, tailored to different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions.
Job Requirements of the MFL Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in one or more modern foreign languages (e.g., French, Spanish, or German).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
