Job description

SEN & Behaviour Support Roles – Ideal for Ex-Forces Personnel
Location: Boston, Lincolnshire
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Immediate Start
Through GSL Education

Are you ex-military or ex-forces and looking for a rewarding new career where your skills and resilience make a real difference?
GSL Education is seeking dedicated and adaptable SEN & Behaviour Support Workers to work in Alternative Provisions and PRUs across the Boston area of Lincolnshire.

Why Ex-Forces Personnel Excel in These Roles:

Your military background means you already have the discipline, communication skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure that these settings need. Working with young people who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or challenging behaviours requires exactly the kind of leadership, patience, and structure you bring.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting pupils who have been excluded or struggle in mainstream education

  • Helping to manage behaviour and promote positive social skills

  • Assisting with tailored learning activities and life skills

  • Acting as a role model and mentor for pupils aged 5–16

  • Working alongside teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams

We’re Looking For:

  • Experience from military service or similar disciplined, high-responsibility backgrounds

  • The ability to build trust and rapport quickly

  • Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

What We Offer:

  • Competitive daily rate: £88.94 – £100

  • Ongoing training and career development opportunities

  • A supportive, dedicated consultant who understands your transition into education

  • The chance to make a life-changing impact on young people’s futures

If you’re ready to transfer your skills from the forces to the classroom, we want to hear from you.
Apply today with GSL Education and start a new mission – changing lives in Boston, Lincolnshire.
