SEMH Teacher – Grantham, Lincolnshire

Are you a passionate and resilient teacher with experience supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to work in a specialist provision in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The school supports children and young people who have been identified as requiring additional support due to SEMH challenges, often combined with other learning or behavioural needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who can build positive relationships, deliver personalised learning, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable students.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging, adapted lessons to meet individual learning and emotional needs

Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and families

Support behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing within a trauma-informed environment

Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external professionals

Monitor progress and contribute to personalised education and behaviour plans
Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) is essential

Experience teaching students with SEMH or within an alternative provision

Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills

A nurturing, consistent, and resilient teaching style

Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education)
