SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Weekly Salary: £450 – £525 (based on experience)
A rewarding opportunity awaits in Lewisham for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant ready to make a meaningful impact in a primary school setting. If you’re eager to support children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis, this role will allow you to help shape a positive and inclusive learning experience from the very start of the academic year.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Working closely with individual pupils with special educational needs, offering tailored support and encouragement.

Supporting learning inside and outside the classroom to help children achieve both academic and personal goals.

Collaborating with class teachers and the SENCO to implement strategies and personalised interventions.

Building confidence, fostering independence, and promoting emotional wellbeing in young learners.

Ensuring the pupil's needs are met in line with their EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) where applicable.
We’re Looking For:

Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in early years or primary education.

A kind, calm, and resilient attitude.

Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt support based on individual needs.

An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply).

Right to work in the UK and suitable references.
