About the Role:
As a Flexible Cover Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning across various classes. You’ll deliver engaging lessons, support student progress, and ensure a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher.
Key Responsibilities of Flexible Cover Teacher:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of primary year groups.
- Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and student needs.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and positively.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and classroom activities.
- Support the school’s ethos and contribute to its wider community.
Requirements for Flexible Cover Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience in UK primary schools.
- Strong classroom management and adaptability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for teaching and supporting young learners.
- Right to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through GSL Education).
- Two professional references from the last two years.
