Job Title: 1:1 SEN Support Assistant
Location: Boston
Salary: £88.94 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a committed and compassionate 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to work with students who require personalised support tailored to their individual needs. As a 1:1 SEN Support Assistant, this role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and motivated to help learners with complex needs thrive both academically and personally.

Responsibilities as 1:1 SEN Support Assistant:

  • Deliver focused 1:1 support to a designated pupil with MLD or PMLD.
  • Assist in implementing individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies.
  • Support with personal care, feeding, and physical mobility where required.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes student wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and multi-agency professionals.

Requirements for 1:1 SEN Support Assistant:

  • Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly MLD or PMLD.
  • Be confident providing personal care and using assistive communication or mobility equipment.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to inclusive education.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
  • Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any employment gaps over the last 10 years.
