Pay Rate: £155 - £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated English Teacher to join welcoming schools across Sheffield. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support pupils in enhancing their reading, writing, and communication abilities.
Role Overview:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum, fostering students’ literary appreciation and critical thinking. You will prepare learners for exams while nurturing confidence in their language skills.
Responsibilities as an English Teacher:
- Plan and teach dynamic English lessons covering literature, language, and literacy.
- Assess and track student progress, providing tailored feedback.
- Encourage a love for reading and effective communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum resources.
Requirements for English Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK is mandatory.
- Strong subject knowledge in English and English literature is preferable.
- Experience teaching secondary school pupils.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
