Pay Rate: £155 - £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Teacher to join welcoming schools across Sheffield. This role provides an excellent opportunity to support pupils’ scientific understanding and nurture their curiosity.
Role Overview:
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics topics, motivating students to develop critical thinking and practical skills. You’ll help pupils prepare for exams while fostering a love for science.
Responsibilities as a Science Teacher:
- Plan and deliver stimulating science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Promote positive attitudes towards science and encourage scientific enquiry.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and enhance the curriculum.
Requirements for Science Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in the UK is mandatory.
- Strong subject knowledge in science, ideally across all three disciplines.
- Experience teaching secondary school pupils.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps.
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
