Cover Supervisor – Outstanding Secondary School – Southampton

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure students remain on task
- Promote positive behaviour and manage classroom expectations
- Work across a range of subjects, supporting the school’s vision of academic excellence and inclusion
This role is ideal for aspiring teachers looking to gain hands-on experience before undertaking formal teacher training. You'll become part of a dynamic and student-focused team, committed to developing young people into ambitious, responsible, and confident individuals.

What We’re Looking For:
- A confident, proactive, and enthusiastic individual
- Previous experience working with young people (in education or a similar setting) is desirable
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for education and helping students thrive
- A degree or equivalent qualification is beneficial, though not essential
