Location: Grantham
Pay Rate: £88.94 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to work in an all-age SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school based in Grantham. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who need tailored support to thrive in their educational journey.

Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, helping them to manage behaviour, build confidence, and stay engaged with learning.

Responsibilities for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Support students in regulating behaviour and developing social-emotional skills.
  • Provide consistent, positive reinforcement and build trusting relationships.
  • Assist with classroom tasks and support learning under teacher direction.
  • Monitor and document behaviour incidents and progress.
  • Promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:

  • Previous experience working with SEMH, behavioural needs, or in a pastoral support role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A calm, non-judgmental, and empathetic approach to support.
  • An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years (with no unexplained gaps).
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
