Salary: £88.94 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming and inclusive all-age SEN school in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. The school caters to a wide range of needs, from Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) to Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), providing a nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will play a vital role in supporting students across various age groups and learning needs. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored support, helping students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Support students with a range of special educational needs, including MLD and PMLD.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to enhance learning and engagement.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and families.
  • Use creative and adaptive strategies to support communication and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to student reviews and planning.

Requirements of SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

  • Previous experience working in a SEN setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students.
  • A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are advantageous.

  • The right to work in the UK.
  • An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.
