Salary: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a patient and proactive Behaviour Mentor with a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
GSL Education are looking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in a specialist SEMH school based in Spilsby. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on helping young people overcome barriers to learning and build essential life skills.
Role Overview
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will support pupils who may display challenging behaviours, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical strategies to help them succeed in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
- Implement personalised behaviour plans and intervention strategies.
- Build strong relationships with pupils to promote trust and engagement.
- Support students with emotional regulation and self-confidence.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver consistent classroom support.
- Promote positive behaviour, respect, and resilience among all pupils.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor
- Experience working with young people with SEMH or behavioural needs is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
- A calm, consistent, and patient approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
- Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
