Salary: £90 – £100 per day (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking to appoint a committed and experienced HLTA to join a dedicated team within a specialist provision in Spilsby. This rewarding role is ideal for someone with a strong SEN background, ready to take on additional responsibilities while making a meaningful impact.
Role Overview:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions, support pupils on a one-to-one and group basis, and occasionally lead lessons in the absence of the class teacher. You will play a vital role in the learning and development of children with complex needs, including ASD, communication difficulties, and sensory processing challenges.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support learning across the curriculum under teacher guidance and independently.
- Deliver structured interventions and tailored learning programmes.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support academic, social, and emotional development.
- Assist in developing individual learning plans and support strategies.
- Use specialist strategies and resources to support pupils with a wide range of needs.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- HLTA status or relevant HLTA-level experience in SEN settings.
- Experience working with children with complex and additional needs.
- A patient, proactive, and flexible approach to support.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies, EHCPs, and behaviour management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
