SEND Teacher – Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £120 – £190 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education is delighted to be recruiting a SEND Teacher to join a specialist provision in Scunthorpe, starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, ideal for a dedicated teacher who thrives on supporting students with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and complex communication or sensory needs.
The Role:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

Foster a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment for pupils with diverse and complex needs

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff

Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting strategies where necessary

Contribute to the wider school community, attending reviews, meetings, and training as required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS

Experience working in a specialist or inclusive education setting

A deep understanding of strategies to support students with SEND

Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

A child-centred approach, with empathy, patience, and resilience
