A supportive and well-resourced SEN school in Winchester is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school caters for students aged 2-19 with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech and Language Difficulties, and SEMH.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about special educational needs and are looking to gain or build on their experience in a specialist school setting.
Support students with a variety of special educational needs in both 1:1 and small group settings
Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Support students with a variety of special educational needs in both 1:1 and small group settings
- Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted and differentiated lessons
- Help to manage behaviour and promote positive emotional wellbeing
- Encourage student independence and confidence through consistent routines
- Contribute to the development of EHCP targets and monitor progress

What We’re Looking :
- Experience working with young people with SEN in a school or care setting (desirable but not essential)
- Calm, patient, and flexible approach to working with pupils with additional needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable supporting students with personal care
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
