Job Title: Teaching Assiatant

Location: Scunthorpe

Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £90.00 - £110.00
Contract Type: Full time

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Scunthorpe.  If you're ready to step into a role where you can inspire and support children, this Teaching Assistant position is the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons
  • Assist children with their individual learning, ensuring a nurturing environment
  • Help manage classroom activities and maintain a safe learning space
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children where necessary
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Encourage and promote excellent behaviour and social development among children
  • Assist in preparing learning materials and setting up classroom activities

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service is essential
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of staff to create a positive learning environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of the children and the school
