Primary Mainstream Teacher – KS2 (Year 5) - Weymouth, Dorset

GSL Education are delighted to be recruiting for a full-time Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive KS2 class (Year 5) at a well-regarded primary school in Weymouth which starts from September 2025. Whether you are an Early Careers Teacher or a seasoned professional, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. A school tour is available before being invited back to the school for a more formal interview process. Interviews are to take place over the next few weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
- Monitor, assess, and record pupils’ progress, adapting teaching methods to support individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and parents.
- Support the social and emotional development of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and values.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Passion for teaching and helping pupils reach their full potential.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Open to applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced educators.
- A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
