Job Title: History Teacher
Location: Spalding
Salary: £31,650 – £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time
Are you a dedicated History Teacher ready to bring the past to life for the next generation? GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Spalding.
As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across a range of students. Your lessons will spark curiosity, develop critical thinking, and deepen students’ understanding of global and British history.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality history lessons.
- Create a classroom culture that fosters curiosity, respect, and independent thinking.
- Assess and track student progress in line with curriculum objectives.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and a passion for historical education.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour and safeguarding.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in History or a closely related subject.
- Experience teaching history across a range of classes.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A passion for your subject and the ability to inspire students.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
