SEN Teacher
Location: Scunthorpe
Salary: £90 – £100 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term; Full-Time / Part-Time

If so, GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a supportive school in Scunthorpe that caters to children and young people with a wide range of complex learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for teachers who are confident in delivering personalised, inclusive education within a nurturing and structured environment.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering creative and adaptive lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with complex needs, across a range of age groups. Working closely with support staff, therapists, and families, you will create a positive and consistent learning experience for all students.
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to students’ EHCP targets
- Support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, communication difficulties, and sensory impairments
- Maintain a calm and structured classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback and reporting
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all learners
Requirements for SEN Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification
- Experience teaching students across all ages with complex needs or severe learning difficulties as a SEN Teacher
- A degree in SEN, Psychology or a similar field.
- Excellent behaviour management skills and a patient, empathetic approach
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learner needs
- Have an updated CV and a current enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
