Job Title: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Boston
Salary Range: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:
As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons across a range of DT specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Engineering. The successful candidate will support students in developing both their technical knowledge and creativity, helping them to gain hands-on experience and develop essential life skills.
You will be joining a school that places high value on technical education and offers excellent workshop facilities, well-resourced classrooms, and strong departmental support.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Inspire students to explore design processes, problem-solving, and product development.
- Ensure safe working practices in the classroom and workshop environments.
- Contribute to the development of innovative projects and assessments.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support extra-curricular activities and whole-school initiatives related to STEM or DT.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism or experience in teaching Design Technology at various Key Stages.
- Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety regulations in workshop environments.
- Strong organisational skills and a commitment to practical teaching.
- A genuine passion for design and innovation.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
