Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Hook
Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a focused SEN Teaching Assistant to join a bright school in Hook. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs) as they learn, develop confidence, and reach their potential. Your support will help create a positive and encouraging environment where every child feels valued.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist students with SEN during lessons and school activities to help them understand and complete tasks.
  • Help children stay focused and engaged by providing calm and patient support.
  • Follow individual learning plans and work closely with teachers to meet each child’s needs.
  • Support children’s social and emotional development by encouraging positive interactions and behaviour.
  • Observe and report on student progress to teachers, helping to shape future learning.
  • Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organised classroom environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience working as a Special Education Needs TA or supporting children with additional needs is preferred.
  • A calm, patient, and positive approach to working with children.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different children’s needs.
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
