Job Title: Primary Key Stage 1 Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £150-£230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic Primary Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a primary school in Rotherham. This is a great opportunity for a qualified teacher who enjoys working with young learners aged 5 to 7 years and is dedicated to supporting their progress in all areas of the curriculum.

As a Primary KS1 Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching across core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science, alongside foundation subjects including History, Geography, and Art. Your role will include planning lessons that inspire and engage students, assessing their learning, and providing support tailored to individual needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and teach lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Use assessment tools effectively to track and support student progress.
  • Manage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and respect.
  • Engage with parents and carers to provide feedback on children’s progress and wellbeing.
  • Promote good behaviour and support students’ social and emotional development.
  • Adhere to all safeguarding and health and safety policies within the school.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) settings is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills for working with students, parents, and staff.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service or willingness to complete a new check.
