SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £82.10 to £104.16 per day
Contract Type: [Full-Time / Part-Time / Permanent / Temporary]

Do you have the compassion, resilience, and commitment to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school catering for children and young people aged 4 to 19 with a range of complex needs across the behaviour and autism spectrum. You will work closely with class teachers and therapists to support the academic, emotional, and social development of our students.

About the Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
  • Helping students engage with their learning and build positive relationships
  • Assisting with personal care and behaviour management where necessary
  • Supporting a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment

About You:

  • Experience working with children or young people with ASC and/or SEMH is highly desirable
  • Calm, patient and emotionally resilient, with a genuine desire to help vulnerable learners thrive
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to follow guidance but also use your initiative
