GSL Education are seeking a dedicated, flexible, and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team at a specialist secondary school in Southampton. The school caters to pupils aged 11–16 with a diverse range of special educational needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), social, communication and sensory needs, severe, moderate and specific learning difficulties, and mental health needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our students develop academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for adulthood, independent living, and employment. You will work closely with students through hands-on, practical, and engaging activities that make learning enjoyable and meaningful.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students in class and in small groups
- Adapt your approach to meet a variety of individual learning needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, external professionals, families, and the wider school team
- Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
