Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full time

GSL Education are happy to be hiring for an SEN Teacher to join a fantastic school in Blandford.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher in Blandford, you will teach and support students with special educational needs (SEN). You will plan lessons that meet each student’s individual needs and help them learn and grow. Whether you are already experienced in SEN or looking to move into this area, this is a great opportunity to make a real difference.

Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:

  • Teach fun and engaging lessons that are tailored to students with special needs.
  • Create and follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student.
  • Keep the classroom calm, positive, and inclusive.
  • Help students stay focused and support them with their learning.
  • Mark students’ work and give helpful feedback.
  • Share any concerns with the right staff members.

Requirements for an SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a similar teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
  • Good classroom management and the ability to connect with students of all abilities.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills.
  • Able to teach different subjects and work with different age groups.
  • A strong commitment to keeping students safe and happy.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
