Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our friendly and supportive team in Boscombe. What You’ll Be Doing:

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students learn and grow in a way that suits their individual needs. You will work closely with other teachers and support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom where every student feels safe, supported, and inspired.

Your Main Responsibilities:

  • Create Personalised Lessons: Plan and teach lessons that are tailored to each student’s needs and abilities.
  • Support and Encourage: Work with students who have a range of special educational needs, helping them to learn and develop both academically and personally.
  • Lead Fun Activities: Organise and take part in extracurricular activities that help students feel included and excited about learning.
  • Track Progress: Keep an eye on how students are doing, give helpful feedback, and adjust your teaching to support their progress.
  • Build a Positive Environment: Make sure your classroom is a welcoming and inclusive space where all students feel valued.
  • Keep Everyone Safe: Follow health and safety rules and teach students how to stay safe in school.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher: You must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience Matters: You should have experience teaching students with special educational needs.
  • Good References: You’ll need to provide a full 10-year career history with references from the last two years, including your most recent school.
  • Great Communicator: You should be able to communicate well with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Inspiring Role Model: You should be someone who can motivate and encourage students to do their best.
  • Creative and Curious: You should enjoy making learning fun and helping students explore the world around them.
  • Extra Training (Optional): Any extra qualifications or training in special education are a bonus, but not required.
