PPA Teacher
Location: Barnsley
Salary: upto £185 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated PPA Teacher to support primary schools across the Barnsley area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers who enjoy variety in their working week and are passionate about delivering high-quality learning.
About the Role:
As a PPA Teacher, you will be responsible for covering teachers’ Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time across different classes. You will teach a range of subjects and year groups, ensuring continuity in learning and high standards of education are maintained during teacher absence.
Your responsibilities as a PPA Teacher:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as required.
- Adapt to different classroom environments and teaching styles with confidence.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to support a productive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting engagement and inclusion.
- Ensure consistency in pupils’ learning and provide feedback where necessary.
- Support the broader school community and participate in school life when needed.
Requirements for PPA Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience across multiple primary year groups as a PPA Teacher.
- A flexible and proactive teaching style.
- Excellent behaviour management and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
