Salary: upto £185 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025

GSL Education are seeking a committed Primary School Teacher to work in a variety of supportive and inclusive primary schools in the Barnsley area. This exciting opportunity is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who want to make a real difference.
About the Role:
As a Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to different learning abilities. Whether you’re covering a single day or committing long-term, your role will be to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages every child to achieve their best.
Primary School Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Support the academic and emotional development of pupils across all primary key stages.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Create a positive and safe classroom culture that supports effective learning.
- Assess, record, and report on the progress and development of pupils.
- Collaborate with fellow staff, support staff, and parents to ensure pupils’ success.
- Manage classroom behaviour efficiently and encourage respectful relationships.
- Take part in school activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements for a Primary Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching in primary schools in the UK is desirable.
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible and resilient approach to teaching.
- A commitment to upholding the highest standards of safeguarding.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
