Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Spalding
Salary Range: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role:

As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering an engaging curriculum that sparks creativity and develops artistic skills. You will provide learners with opportunities to explore a wide range of media, styles, and cultural influences while guiding them to find their unique artistic voice.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring lessons in visual arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media.
  • Encourage experimentation, personal expression, and critical reflection.
  • Create a supportive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and creativity.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain and manage art resources and displays.
  • Contribute to school-wide art exhibitions, workshops, or extracurricular activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Art or a Fine Art, Visual Arts, or a related subject.
  • Experience delivering Art education to learners of varying ages or key stages.
  • Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and creative pedagogy.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking and active participation.
  • Skilled in classroom management and fostering positive pupil behaviour.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
