Salary: £155 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role/Role Overview
This is a rewarding opportunity to teach Religious Education in a setting that values inclusive learning and cultural understanding. As an RE Teacher, you will help students develop informed views on diverse belief systems, ethics, and philosophical questions, while nurturing their critical thinking and respect for others.
Responsibilities of the RE Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive RE lessons across appropriate key stages.
- Teach about world religions, ethical issues, philosophy, and the role of belief in society.
- Promote open discussion and critical thinking in a respectful classroom environment.
- Develop schemes of work that reflect the diversity and depth of RE content.
- Monitor student progress, provide clear feedback, and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
- Support the school’s values of inclusivity, equality, and respect.
Requirements of the RE Teacher: To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience teaching RE is preferred, including placements or classroom experience.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- A commitment to inclusive education and the ability to differentiate teaching methods for diverse learners.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
