Job Title: PE Teacher
Location: Rotherham (S66)
Salary: £155 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a school in Rotherham (S66). This is a generic role suitable for teaching across various educational stages, without a specific primary or secondary phase designation.

Role overview

As a PE Teacher, you will play a vital role in promoting physical well-being, teamwork, and resilience among pupils. You'll deliver structured and inclusive lessons that cover a variety of sports, fitness programmes, and health education, encouraging every student to reach their potential, both on and off the field.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons that cater to different skill levels and abilities.
  • Teach a broad range of sports, physical fitness, and health-related topics.
  • Foster sportsmanship, confidence, and teamwork in pupils.
  • Ensure high standards of health and safety during physical activities.
  • Organise extracurricular activities, competitions, or sports events as needed.
  • Monitor student progress and promote an inclusive and supportive environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching PE, either in a school or equivalent setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding practices in sports and education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for promoting fitness, well-being, and positive physical habits in young people.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
