Job Title: SEN Class Teacher
Location: Chelmsford
Salary Range: £100 - £230 per day (depending on experience)
Start Time: September 2025
Contract Type: Part-time / Full-time

GSL Education are excited to be recruiting enthusiastic and nurturing SEN Class Teacher to work in a variety of specialist and mainstream settings across Chelmsford starting this September.

About the Role

As an SEN Class Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored education to students with a range of additional needs. Responsibilities of an SEN Class Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement EHCPs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers.
  • Uphold high standards of safeguarding and student welfare.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or MLD.
  • Strong behaviour management and the ability to adapt to diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
