Teacher of Science
Location: Loughton
Salary: £100 - £230 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Scienceacross Key Stages 3, 4 & 5. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering the curriculum, fostering curiosity, and helping students achieve their full potential through engaging and thought-provoking lessons.

As a Science Teacher, your responsibilities will be:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons across the Key Stages 3, 4 & 5
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
  • Encourage students’ interest in scientific topics through practical and theoretical lessons
  • Prepare and assess assignments, tests, and coursework
  • Promote excellent classroom behaviour and respect
  • Collaborate with fellow Science teachers to enhance departmental delivery

Requirements for Teacher of Science:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related subject
  • Experience delivering Science as a Teacher of Science in a classroom setting
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
