Salary: £100 - £230 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are actively recruiting a committed and knowledgeable Teacher of Science to join welcoming schools in the Southend-on-Sea area. Whether you specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, this role offers an exciting opportunity to motivate young learners and deliver the wonders of Science.

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to students across Key Stages. You will foster critical thinking and scientific enquiry through hands-on experiments, real-world applications, and a passion for the subject.

Science Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Key Stages in line with the national curriculum
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons in Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics
  • Encourage practical skills and analytical thinking through experiments and discussions
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Work collaboratively with other Science staff to develop resources and improve teaching practice
  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and student engagement

Teacher of Science Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or a related discipline
  • Experience teaching Science in UK schools is essential
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
