Salary: £96 - £100 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are looking for a passionate Peripatetic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Chesterfield. This role is perfect for someone who is adaptable, confident, and enjoys working in different educational settings. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, as travel between school sites is required.
Job Expectations:
- Support the class teacher in managing behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
- Adapt your approach to meet the needs of different pupils and school environments.
- Foster strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Use de-escalation strategies and maintain a calm, supportive presence.
- Support with academic tasks as directed by the class teacher.
- Travel between schools across Chesterfield to provide consistent support.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and SEN teams.
- Promote pupil engagement, emotional regulation, and independence.
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (Essential).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A flexible and resilient attitude, with the ability to adapt to different school settings.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
- An up-to-date CV covering the last ten years with any gaps explained.
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
