Job Title: Geography Teacher
Location: Spalding
Salary Range: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are delighted to support a forward-thinking secondary school in Spalding, seeking a committed Geography Teacher to join their Humanities faculty from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the geographical understanding of students and instil a lifelong appreciation for our planet’s complexities.

About the Role:

As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across all Key Stages. The successful candidate will inspire pupils to think critically about physical and human geography, global development, sustainability, and environmental responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster geographical thinking through fieldwork, case studies, and enquiry-based learning.
  • Monitor student progress, set ambitious targets, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources.
  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and departmental collaboration.

Job Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Degree in Geography or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum for Geography, including recent developments.
  • A strong classroom presence and a passion for geography education.
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and high student achievement.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
