About the Role:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be an integral part of the Early Years team, nurturing the development of children aged 3–5. You will create a positive and stimulating environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and growth during their foundational years of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through structured and play-based activities.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and enriching classroom environment tailored to the needs of young learners.
  • Monitor and record children’s development, providing input for progress reviews and parent updates.
  • Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive behaviour in a caring and patient manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents to ensure consistency and best outcomes for each child.
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and promote the welfare of all pupils.

Job Requirements:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education is essential.
  • Experience working within an Early Years or Primary school setting.
  • Familiarity with the EYFS framework and developmental milestones.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children and staff.
  • A proactive, nurturing, and enthusiastic attitude towards childcare.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
