Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA)
Location: WF4 (Wakefield area)
Salary: £86 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Key Responsibilities of SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA):
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, including anxiety, depression, and behavioural challenges.
- Assist in delivering personalised lessons and activities tailored to individual learning styles and needs.
- Foster students’ social, emotional, and academic development through encouragement and structured support.
- Support students with personal care needs when required, ensuring their safety and dignity.
- Work closely with class teachers and support staff to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
- Promote positive behaviour and help students build independence and confidence.
Requirements of SEMH Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA):
- Previous experience supporting students with SEMH needs or in a similar educational role.
- Good understanding of the national curriculum and effective SEMH support strategies.
- Ability to engage students through creative and adaptive teaching methods.
- Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
- A genuine passion for supporting the emotional and academic growth of young people.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Must be a driver and have full-time availability.
