Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Worksop
Salary: £100 - £110 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming and inclusive school in Worksop. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and is ready to make a meaningful contribution to their educational journey.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting classroom teaching and ensuring pupils feel confident, engaged, and motivated to learn. You may be assigned to support the whole class, small groups, or individual students, depending on the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one or group interventions to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage pupil participation and independence.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Support children with additional needs, including SEN or EAL learners.
  • Help manage behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and administrative tasks as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different year groups if required.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
