Job Title: Supply Cover Teacher
Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Salary: £94 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate / September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Part-Time can be arranged for the right candidate)

GSL Education are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Supply Cover Teacher to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Wimborne. If you enjoy the variety of teaching across different classrooms and year groups, and have a talent for creating engaging learning experiences, we would love to hear from you.

As a Supply Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching and behaviour while delivering pre-planned lessons during staff absences. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and positive learning experience for pupils in your care.

Responsibilities of a Supply Cover Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons to primary-aged pupils across different year groups.
  • Adapt to various classroom settings, quickly building rapport with students and staff.
  • Follow pre-prepared lesson plans and use your own initiative to ensure high-quality learning.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports pupil engagement and respect.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress and engagement where required.
  • Work collaboratively with school teams to contribute to a supportive learning culture.
  • Be a dependable and professional presence in the school community.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Career Teacher (ECT) status, or relevant classroom teaching experience.
  • Prior experience teaching in primary settings; experience across different year groups is desirable.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to quickly settle into new environments.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage students and liaise effectively with staff.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping pupils progress in their learning.
  • SEN experience is an added advantage and highly valued.
  • Experienced teachers seeking flexible work patterns are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • An updated CV covering the last 10 years (with explanations for any gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one through GSL Education).
